Nice, this is great! Displays a nice atmosphere perfect for a long drawn out battle. Can't really fault much here, although I have to say it borderlines on repetition, if it was any longer or less varied then I would begin to say it was a bit too repetitive. Nevertheless good job.

Zafrece responds:

ya i was fearing that to be honest. It did tend to be a bit drawn out just bc i had to basicly blend 2 totaly different styles and songs into one molded song. Since i wasn't sure how to do that i kinda let it be a tad more drawn out than i should have. (note taken however) Thanks for the feed back.

Very moving and fitting for a Soldier's emotions. Well done =D

Gotta agree with Johnfn somewhere below me, the structural repetitiveness can ruin a good song by making it boring because we are listening to roughly the same thing for most of the song. It sounds good on first listen but I can't imagine listening to this many times. Maybe you should try my additive form challenge for your next song, like i said it's just for fun, it does become a learning experience as you get to try so many different ways to keep a song interesting.

ForeverBound responds:

hey thanks for the review, also I'm gonna try to be more creative in the song structure

It's been a while since I last listened to your stuff. I love how all your stuff is so cinematic. I can see we've both come quite a way since I pretty much started here at Newgrounds and you being the first person to favourite my music. Please keep up the good work.

This sounds strangely relaxing and it's a good use of traditional and cultural instruments. I'm not sure about the Djembe and Duduk but just for future reference, it's impossible for a didgeridoo to change pitch since it is basically just a wooden tube. With some modification by putting some holes in the tube you may be able to make it play more pitches but then it becomes a giant flute of sorts. Not judging you on this but I thought it might be some handy information in case you use a didgeridoo again. As for the Taiko, I'm pretty sure it's just a big drum so it's not easy to use it wrong.

It's nice to hear something from you after a while, just a little bit short though. But thanks for sharing this piece. ~Raymoclaus

Phyrnna responds:

Thanks for the review!
The didgeridoo can change in pitch based on playing style. Of course, there's never a need to be limited to just one.

Hahahaha, this song makes no sense at all!!!! This should definitely set this aside from your competitors. No complaints at all, for this is Waterflame's chaotic mess of awesome. It is so interesting to listen to because every second of this is different from the last. If you didn't have my support already, you certainly have it now. Good luck =P

Much calmer compared to your other pieces which is a nice change. I truly believe that variety and doing well at a range of musical types and themes is much better than being perfect at one single type of music, and this piece demonstrates this skill just fine. Good work on the loop, it certainly does fit back with the beginning and I'm sure you will get plenty of people saying that they listened to this many times before realising that it loops. Here's some contructive criticism that might help you to get that 5 stars from me: A little bit more work could have been put into sound design, i just feel that I'm hearing the same or too similar sounds at various points in the piece that you use for your melodies. This should help to make this song remain interesting even after listening to this many times, espescially since this is a looping song. Overall i enjoyed listening to this at least 4 or 5 times in a row and I hope you continue to keep up the quality songs. Consider this song faved, downloaded for later listenings, voted 5 etc.

I want this finished ASAP!

This is the Waterflame we all know and love:)

Good Loop

Very winter and calm, just felt there could have been more added, maybe some soft strings for the background to remove the hollow feeling due to the lack of texture. Besides that everything else is good. 9/10 , 5/5
